DISTRICT PUB — EAU CLAIRE, WI

Introduction
So, this is a bit of an introduction blog. As you read through this, you’ll most likely notice I’m not too experienced with the whole “structure” thing of how a blog is supposed to be laid out. These are going to be off the cuff and free-flowing. So just cut me some slack, will ya? Perfect. By the way thank you for reading.
I’m an Eau Claire native myself and I will try to not be biased towards our beloved bloody marys crafted in this city of growing culture and family-owned restaurants/bars. Ever since I’ve gotten a bit older I’ve always wanted to get into the bloody mary game. Almost everyone that I know has insisted that I try their bloody mary but I couldn’t get passed the taste of tomato juice (or whatever is in these things). But I don’t know what got into me one day, maybe by the grace of God himself, I got accustomed to that taste I’ve always hated.
I told my girlfriend I’m sick of being a fraud and it was time for me to starting enjoying a good bloody mary. With my girlfriend being a bartender for quite some time she made me one of her famous bloodys. She whipped this thing up so quickly with what looked like at least 50 different ingredients. I couldn’t believe the athleticism she showed making this bloody. Spice after spice. Flavor after flavor. Grabbing a million different ingredients from the fridge and cabinets. I was blown away. I took my first sip and my goodness my tastebuds erupted like the little rat Remy in the Disney movie “Ratatouille”. Safe to say, I was hooked for life. Now we’re on the mission to find the perfect Bloody Mary and I hope you enjoy our adventure.

Review
So I guess this is where the review will start. First off, I’ve always loved The District Pub located in Eau Claire, WI. One day I went in there and I’ve heard that the bloody marys were pretty good. So might as well try one out right? Which is exactly what I did.
I go and sit down at the bar and order a spicy bloody mary with with a chaser of Coors Light — my go to. They bring it out to me fairly quickly, which I was excited about because I just wanted to try it out. It came with a pickle, a beef stick, and potentially some cheese (I forgot it’s been a few weeks since I went there). Snagged a quick picture of the bloody and now it’s go time.
First sip. Boom. Flavor, spice, and everything nice. Immediately I could taste everything that would hit the spot for a good bloody mary. First, I could taste the flavors from all of the spices, the taste of juices, and the heat to add on top of that. It all came together to create something magical. Some people believe in love at first sip and some don’t. That’s okay. All I know now is I believe. This has been my favorite bloody mary so far in my adventure to find the perfect bloody mary. If you like a quality bloody I would suggest anyone to try one out at the District Pub in Eau Claire, WI.
